I had the absolute pleasure of being at a Business Uncorked dinner hosted by the fabulous @therebeccasaunders last night.
Amazing food.
Fabulous company.
Great conversations.
It’s not easy putting on a dinner party and attracting an eclectic, yet compatible group of women and she did it spectacularly and made it look effortless.
Rebecca encourages everyone in her Champagne Lounge, clients, friends and followers to add post it notes with goals to their champagne and then pop the cork when the goal is achieved. So she gave us all one to add to our fridges.
The dinners are happening in Sydney and Mudgee so follow her for some more info and book a seat at one. You’ll love it!

The revealing, compelling memoir of one of Australia's foremost cardiothoracic surgeons, Dr Nikki Stamp.
I believe in reading a combination of genres these days.
Phew.
All business & personal development books there for awhile.
There was also the crime fiction stage, the biography stage, good old classics and believe it or not I had a phase of romance novels too!
What are you reading this week?

What’s not to love?
🎵 frocked up
🎵 fab friend on my arm

Only one shows left so get your tickets people.

ChatGPT is phenomenal - but please people do not use it word for word for your work!
Last night I had a bit of a play with an AI Headshot site. You upload a heap of photos of your head and it comes back with lots of different photos.
This was one of them.
I was using it to see what I want to next do with my hair and to get some styling ideas for my next photoshoot with @CarolineWhite
I now know I can never have long blond hair 🤢Ironically when I was little I said to the hairdresser I wanted my hair 'long blond and curly'. Nope.
What blew my mind though was how much in this photo I look like my mother as a young woman. Wowza.
We need to be aware online that people will use AI in more and more ways - yes, I am creating this post using later and I can hit the button 'AI Caption Writer' but I am yet to ever do so. I like how I write.
I do hope that people are ethical enough to say when they are using AI.
By the way, one of the best uses of ChatGPT I have heard of so far is creating menu planning!!! Bring it on - all that decision fatigue about what to cook....arghghgh
Have you used AI as yet? What do you like or not like - let me know in the comments.

These stairs are a big thing for me. A few years ago, I needed to stop and take a breath every few stairs. Then I got to the point I could run them.
After having covid it took months before I could even walk them slowly, then I built back up again.
I never thought exercise was that important to me, but it is. It impacts everything.
A month ago I was having a fab time in Europe, even exercising before the trade show as I know how important it is to me. Who was this woman! Not sure if it made up for the booze and food I was consuming - but it felt good!
Then blood clot / hurt my back / bad case of rsv.
In those weeks since I haven't done much exercise, and as my mental health took a dive so did the many wonderful habits I have while the ones I know make me feel like crap (too much tv and all the easter eggs) became more common.
The reality is, I was actually to ill to do much apart from slow walks with Charlie, but wowza, the impact on everything from sleep to my income.
Am I grumpy with myself? No
This morning I felt healthy, so I started again. The good news is, I didn't need to stop and take my breath, so I'm not all the way back to the beginning.
The old Sam would have gotten to this point and gone F it, see I am hopeless, I can't keep anything going, I'll never be fit blah blah blah.
That's one of the powers of personal development. Learning how to listen to your own mind and body and being kind to it. Beating myself up didn't achieve anything.
No matter where you are in life, what is the one thing you can start again today? Let me know in the comments so I can cheer you on.
