This Week at LBF

December 8th 2024

They say when you are in the online world to grow your business, it's about always making content.

I go through phases on loving it and truly not wanting to be a part of the online machine.

That in / out way is probably the worst thing you can do when you do a lot of your business online 🤦🏻‍♀️

I tell myself off somedays (you know in that voice that you would never allow anyone to speak to you in), then I remind myself that's is ok to do it my way.

I'm currently going through photos for my VA to use on a bit of a website upgrade, new pages, promo stuff etc etc, and the ones from this photoshoot in New York brought back so many amazing memories.

2 incredible days of taking my clothes off in random places in NY with 2 extraordinary women, helping me, taking b roll, boosting my confidence as I burst into song on the streets or snuck into a fire station for a quick photo.

When others have your back and want nothing more than to see you succeed it's magic.

One of the interesting 🤔 things about having ADHD is projects. The build up. The hyper focus. The work. AMAZING. Then you are done.

Seriously.
This photoshoot was in July last year, and I have probably only used 10 of nearly 1,000 photos and videos.
Once it's done, it's like it falls out of our brains and we can't even think about doing more work on it.
It's bizarre.

So here is my part accountability post. I, Samantha Leith will finish going through all these amazing photos and videos, use them for content and continue to be very happy with the result. No - I don't like my double chin, please retouch in my world!

I see you, all my fellow adhders that have a gazillion projects at the 90% completion point. Sending you love and permission (because sometimes we need that) to let it go if you want, or strength to finish that thing!

Throwback to The Samantha Leith Show!

🤫 it is coming back later this year

Each month I took on a topic to share with you, so we've broken them down into snippets (it's called repurposing 😂).

January is all about goals and making sure you have an extraordinary year - and this was the song!

Ditch the Drama, Find Your Strength, and Sparkle Your Way to the Top

Well how could I not read that...

Michelle Visage is the extraordinary judge on RuPaul's Drag Race. Until I read this, I had no idea she had such an incredible career (I just wanted her makeup). I loved all the stories of her younger days in New York, and seriously that could have been my story on Oxford St in the 90's.

I'm mixing it up with my reading this year.

Let me know what you are reading.
