This Week at LBF

December 8th 2024

it’s that fabulous time of the year again - Mardi Gras!!!

Time for me to pop on a frock, decide on some songs and have another truly fantabulous night on stage.

Tickets are available online - yep, link in the bio.

Getting to do these nights @claireskitchenatlesalon with @kingcasual with a great audience is something I am so grateful for.

@clairedelunesydney as lined up yet another incredible season.

I know it’s not only a fab time of year, it’s a busy time - so it makes it even more special when you come along!!!

It's no secret that most of these resolutions fail. According to research, more than 80% of people give up on their resolutions by mid-February. But why is that?

One of the main reasons why most New Year's resolutions fail is because they lack specificity. Saying you want to exercise more or eat healthier is too vague. You need to be more specific and set measurable goals. For example, instead of saying you want to exercise more, set a goal to exercise for 30 minutes, three times a week.

Another reason why resolutions fail is because people tend to set too many goals at once. When you try to change too many things at once, it becomes overwhelming, and you're more likely to give up. Instead, focus on one or two goals at a time, and once you've achieved them, move on to the next.

Another common mistake is not having a plan. You need to have a clear plan of action and hold yourself accountable. Write down your goals, create a timeline, and track your progress. Celebrate your successes along the way, and don't be too hard on yourself if you slip up.

Remember, change takes time, and setbacks are inevitable. But don't give up! Keep pushing forward, and you'll see progress. You got this!
